PCB Chairman to meet with Rehman Malik; security plans under discussion
The Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Zaka Ashraf will meet Interior Minister Rehman Malik today. The meeting was scheduled to be held on Thursday at Islamabad, but was postponed till,today (Friday), APP reported.
The order of business is to put in order a fool-proof security system for Bangladesh team’s visit to Pakistan in April and the Bangladesh security delegation visit to Pakistan next month, said a spokesman of PCB here on Thursday.
“PCB is confident that in collaboration with interior ministry and other security institutions, Bangladesh security delegation will be ensured of foolproof security arrangements for the visiting Teamâ€, he said.
The materialization of this tour will pave the way for full-scale return of International Cricket to Pakistan.
The last international cricket match to be played in Pakistan was when Sri Lankan team was attacked by militants on their way to the ground while touring Pakistan on 3rd March, 2009.
