Vin Diesel plans another The Fast and the Furious sequel

VIN Diesel is set to drive his The Fast and the Furious franchise up to seven films.

Work is under way writing two back-to-back sequels to Fast Five, starring Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson.

This movie is, rounding up all the series' lead characters including Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), Mia (Jordana Brewster), Tej (Ludacris), Vince (Matt Schulze) Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and Han (Sung Kang). Yes that's right, Han — meaning this sequel takes place before the events of Tokyo Drift.

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel at his best) resides in Rio de Janeiro, calling upon the gang for one final,Ocean's 11-style heist: taking $100 million in cash from a highly secure police station. As one character puts it: "This mission just went from Mission Impossible to Mission In-Freaken-Sanity." The stakes are higher and so are the skirts in Fast & Furious 5, which shows off Rio's stunning locales and bodies (case in point: the drop-dead gorgeous Gisele, played by Gal Gadot).

There is a rumour that action star Jason Statham, a hit in The Transporter trilogy, may join the cast.

The last movie earned $622 million worldwide.
