Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi enters 2nd day
Three-day celebrations of Urs, honouring ninth-century Sufi saint Abdullah Shah Ghazi entered into the second day here on Friday amid tight security.
The urs began in Karachi November 17 with fool proof security measures after the blast reported on Sea view on Wednesday.
At the direction of Inspector General of Sindh Police Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, city police have deputed teams of police and bomb disposal squad officers to protect the saint’s shrine.
Workers have installed walk-through security gates at the shrine’s entrance.
Last year Two suicide blasts occurred at the shrine on October 7, claimed eight lives and injured many visitors.
