Kabaddi World cup begins in Punjab today
In Punjab, the opening ceremony of the 2nd World Cup Kabaddi has set the stage for 20-day long sports extravaganza. Teams from 14 countries are participating. They would vie for the title as well as the total prize money of 4.11 crore rupees.
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan scheduled to perform during the inauguration ceremony. In the closing ceremony of the tournament may witness performance of either Karishma Kapoor or Katrina Kaif.
This is the second Kabaddi World Cup started in Punjab town Bathinda on Tuesday. Fourteen countries including Argentina, Pakistan, USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Norway, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, Germany, Spain and hosts India will take part men’s category.
