Sri Lanka set Pakistan a target of 94 to win the Dubai Test on Saturday.
Five wickets for Saeed Ajmal helped dismiss Sri Lanka for 257 in their second innings, giving Pakistan a winning target of 94 runs on the fourth afternoon of the second test.
Paranavitana top-scored for Sri Lanka with 72 runs. Saeed Ajmal with 5-68 was Pakistan's most impressive bowler.
The first Test ended in a draw at Abu Dhabi last week.
