A speech by IMF's Turkey official Mark Lewis was interrupted by egg-throwing students at UludaÄŸ University in the northwestern Bursa province.

Lewis was delivering a speech as a keynote speaker within the 16th Economics Symposium.

A student stood up while Lewis was minutes into his speech, saying "IMF get out," while another student threw eggs at the foreign official.

Security guards removed the students as other protesting students unfurled anti-IMF banners. Lewis continued his speech after all protesters were removed from the hall.

The IMF official managed to avoid the eggs thrown at him.
