Pickup truck hits bomb in Bajur, 5 dead
A pickup truck hit a roadside bomb in Bajur area near the Afghan border, killing at least five people, says a government official.
According to sources, two passenger buses were targeted by remote controlled bombs that killed five passengers while four others are injured. The death toll is expected to rise.
Adalat Khan, a local administrator in the area says several other people were wounded in the bombing. The incident occurred Thursday in the Chamarkand area of the Bajur tribal region.
The injured were shifted to the nearby hospital.
