Power outage increases to 10hrs in Karachi
Residential and commercial areas of the metropolis from today will face 10 hours of loadshedding.
According to a KESC spokesperson the duration of loadshedding has been increased in light of the decrease in gas supply.
The spokesperson adds that Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is supplying 180 million cubic feet of gas and even its pressure is low.
In order to control loadshedding KESC requires 260 million cubic feet of gas.
The menace of load shedding has not only disturbed the routine life but also badly hammered the trade and commercial activities of Karachi, the economic life line of Pakistan.
Sources said the government is providing subsidies to this privately owned company but still there is no respite from cruel load shedding for Karachites.
