Five people have died from the Dengue virus in Lahore, When the disease has spread widely in the country here Thursday.

According to a report issued by the Punjab Health Department, on Thursday, 2,170 dengue patients have been reported so far during the current year out of which1,962 have reported from Lahore.

While 1,875 patients have recovered.

Emergency has been declared in hospitals of Lahore.

According to the Punjab health department, a separate unit has been made in hospitals for treatment of dengue patients.

National health organization released a report in which 2,170 patients reported so far in Punjab, 176 in Sindh, 8 in Khyber paktunkhua, 5 in Azad Kashmir.
