Heavy rain in Punjab, 4 killed in roof collapse
Rain with thunderstorm turned weather pleasant across Punjab on Monday while four people have lost their lives and seven were injured in rain related incidents.
The cool breeze and rain gave relief to the heat-stricken people in many parts of the country during the month of Ramzan.
Rains in Punjab have decreased suffocation and lowered the temperature while water was deluged in many areas of Lahore including Nisbat Road, Bhati Chowk, Lakshmi Chowk, Davis Road and Islam pura, causing severe problems to the commuters.
In another incident in Sialkot, two siblings were killed in roof collapse of their house.
According to the report, scattered thunderstorm and rain hit Multan, Sialkot, Sheikhopura, Duniyapur and Gujranwala.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Kakul of about 68 mm while, 31 mm rainfall was recorded in Gujranwala.
Under the influence of this weather system, more widespread rains and thundershowers are expected in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, northeast Balochistan and Kashmir. Heavy falls may cause flood in these areas.
