Senior officials of India and Pakistan were holding preparatory discussions on in New Delhi on Monday ahead of their Foreign Ministers meeting later this month.

The Pakistani delegation, headed by Zehra H. Akbari, Director General South Asia Division in Foreign Office, arrived in New Delhi on Sunday.

She was holding a meeting on Monday of the joint working group on cross-border CBMs with the Indian side led by Y.K. Sinha, joint secretary in charge of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.

The discussion precedes the meeting of the foreign ministers of both countries on July 27, sources said.
