5 die, 7 injured in fresh violence of Karachi
At least five persons have been killed and seven injured during fresh spate of violence and firing in various parts of the Metro here on Monday, said Police sources.
As per details, unknown armed motorcyclists opened firing on Imam mosque Gul Khan in Ayub Goth of Sohraab Goth area. Police has shifted the deceased in Abbassi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. While after the incident fear and panic spread in the area.
Police told that the deceased was Imam mosque of Jamia Masjid Qartaba and was residing in mosque. However, on Sunday morning, when he went for market to bring breakfast that suddenly unknown persons attacked on him shoot him on the spot.
In an other incident, anonymous gunmen opened fire on Muhammad Rafique (35) in an area of Baldia Town, Sector 9. Police has shifted the dead body to Civil Hospital for autopsy.
While in Qasba Colony some unidentified armed persons opened fire on Fazal ur Rehman (17) and died on the spot while his corpse was transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, 7 persons have been injured during various incidents of firing in areas of Qaidabad, Orangi Town, Landhi, and Liyari.
