Protesting AJK elections: MQM calls urgent coordination committee meeting
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) today calls for an immediate coordination committee meeting to protest against the deferment of June 26 scheduled Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections for the Karachi seats.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) filed a petition early Monday in the Sindh High court against the deferment of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections in Karachi which states that "MQM was pressurized by the People’s Party at all level for pulling out one out of the two seats of Karachi and having seen the MQM brushed off their unjustified demand, the elections were postponed on the pretext of law and order situation".
“Senior party leaders in London and Karachi are deliberating the matter and final decision will be announced shortly,†sources in MQM told Aaj news.
