Shaheed security officials laid to rest

Shaheed security officials, who embraced martyrdom, in terrorists' attack on Naval Base Karachi the other day, were laid to rest on Tuesday.

The funeral prayers of young fire fighter Javed Akhtar were offered in Danish Abad area.

A large number of people from cross segments of society besides political, religious and military officials attended the last rituals of the shaheed, who was buried with full military honour.

Lieutenant Yasir Abbas was laid to rest with full military honour at the Askari 10 graveyard in the presence of proud family members as well as civil and military representatives.

Earlier, his funeral prayer was held at the Askari 10 ground.

Conspicuous among those present were--Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, Provincial Minister for Food Ch Abdul Ghafoor, Corps Commander Lahore Lt. General Rashid Mehmood, DG Rangers Punjab Gen Muhammad Nawaz, Commander Central Punjab Air Admiral Bashir Ahmed,Station Commander Lahore Commodore Akbar Naqi as well as senior officers from the armed forces.

Navi official, Mohammad Saleem Saqib, under-water technician was laid to rest in Kabirwala.

A large number of people joined the funeral prayer of the brave technician who lost his life in the line of duty during the terrorists attack at the base.

A contingent of army presented guard of honour and laid floral wreath on the grave.

Pak Rangers soldier Muhammad Khalil, who embraced martyrdom at PNS Mehran base Karachi, was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in village Theatre Wali with military honour.

A large number of people including Col. Wing Commander of 80-wing Narowal, Nadeem Ahmed Kareem and DCO Ahmed Ali Kamboh attended the funeral prayer.

A contingent of rangers presented guard of honour and laid floral wreath at the grave.
