Navy bus attacked in Karachi, 5 dead
Four personnel of Pakistan Navy and one civilian were killed and nine others injured in a terrorist attack on Pakistan Navy bus near Karsaz on Thursday morning, an official of Inter Services Public Relations (Navy) said.
He identified the dead as sailors Mohammad Yamin, Imtiaz Ahmed, Mirza Ramzan Baig and Sabir Marwat.
The ISPR Navy official further stated that the bus was carrying the Navy personnel.
The bus was attacked almost in a similar style as the two Navy buses were hit in Defence Phase two and Mohajir Camp area of Karachi two days ago in which four people including a sub-lieutenant and a lady doctor working with Pakistan Navy, had lost their lives while 56 others had suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, body of one civilian killed in the Navy bus attack and three injured were shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center.
The dead was identified as 25 year old Nadeem s/o Waseem, said In-charge Emergency and Accident Department, JPMC, Dr. Seemin Jamali.
She told APP that three injured included Riaz (40), Hanif (40) and Shadid Ali (25). They all were passers-by.
Shadid Ali needed first aid while two others were admitted to the hospital.
Condition of Riaz is considerably serious, said Dr. Seemin.
