THE last images of a Pakistani politician Dr Imran Farooq were released on Wednesday by police six months after he was assassinated on his doorstep in Edgware.

Detectives investigating the murder of a senior Pakistani politician in London released images of his last moments - and revealed he may have been followed before his death.

Six months after the 50-year-old's death, detectives renewed their appeal for witnesses and revealed he may have been under surveillance. They suspect up to four Asian men could have been watching Dr Farooq's home in Green Lane.

The CCTV images show him at Edgware Tube going to work; at a supermarket in Old Street before getting on the Northern line to go home; leaving Edgware station; and walking down Station Road to his house, less than 10 minutes before the attack.
