The Pakistan Cricket Board has suspended the central contracts of former captain Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif. PCB legal adviser Tafazzul Rizvi told The Associated Press on Wednesday that it was a legal requirement as "they are unable to perform services for Pakistan due to suspensions." The International Cricket Council suspended the trio on Sept. 2 after a British tabloid accused them of accepting money for bowling predetermined no-balls in a test against England at Lord's. The ICC's code of conduct commission rejected appeals by Butt and Amir against their suspensions last Sunday, with the next stage being a hearing by the anti-corruption tribunal into details of the fixing case.
