Senior lawyer and human right activist, Asma Jehangir on Wednesday won the elections for the office of President of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) with a clear margin.

According to non-final results here, Asma Jehangir grabbed 834 votes against his close rival Ahmed Owais 796 in 8 cities of the country.

The members of SCBA cast their votes in a very peaceful atmosphere and no untoward incident was reported.
