At least four railroad cars containing ethanol plunged from a railroad bridge and into a river in south-western Pennsylvania late on Friday, setting off at least three massive explosions, The Beaver County Times reported Saturday.
The newspaper said dozens of nearby residences in both New Brighton and Beaver Falls were evacuated as the wreckage of the train continued to burn fiercely early Saturday morning.
No injuries had been reported, and no explanation for the accident involving a Norfolk Southern freight train was given as of early Saturday, the report said.
