Country to achieve $10bn investment: Waqar
Minister for Investment Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan has expressed the hope that country would achieve the set target of $10 billion dollars investment by the end of the current year.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said, the set target of investment would be revived in September and October, and hopefully it would be increased.
During last financial year the country attracted about 5.5 billion dollars investment, he added.
The Federal Minister said the economic prudence and business friendly policies of the present government have attracted potential investors to invest in Pakistan. Pakistan offers vast investment opportunities with lucrative return on investment, he added.
To a question, Waqar Ahmed Khan said the country is expecting investment in energy, oil and gas, food, agriculture and housing sectors.
