Foreign direct investment (FDI) increased by a paltry 0.3 percent during last fiscal year (2007-08). As per State Bank of Pakistan statement, FDI stood at $5.153 billion at the end of fiscal year 2007-08 against $5.140 billion of 2006-07, depicting an increase of $13.2 million.
