Opp submits adjournment motion in Senate
Opposition legislators have submitted adjournment motion in the Upper House here on Thursday to discuss President General Pervez Musharraf stance in an interview given to Indian television last week.
He has given four points agenda which has not been discussed on any forum even in the parliament which is an elected highest institution of the country, the motion said.
The legislator mentioned in the adjournment motion that it is a major diversion form the long standing principled stand of Pakistan and Kashmiris.
It seems that the president has finally let the cat out of the bag and laid bare the intentions behind the stream of vague and confusing ides expressed by Pakistani leadership since the peace process begin, they added.
The intention of the president has caused grave concern amongst the general public and needs discussion on the floor of the house adjourning the business of the Senate, they explained.
Opposition Leader Mian Raza Rabbani, Professor Khurshid, Anwar Baig, Babar Awan, Farooq Nike, Safdar Abbasi, Sadia Abbasi and Rukhsana Zubairi signed the motion.
