Pakistan will be a witness to the Super Pink Moon today (Wednesday) as it will be the brightest and biggest full Moon to be spotted on the sky and this will be visible at 7:35 am and could be seen across South Asia at the same time progressively.
It is pertinent to note that Super Moon has already been seen in Europe and the US and it will be seen in Eastern countries when the moon reaches its peak on 14 date (full moon).
Supermoons occur when the moon is within 90% of perigee - which is its closest approach to Earth in orbit. The moon will appear brighter and bigger in the night sky.
April's full moon is also known as the pink moon. This is the first full moon of spring and its name comes from native North American wildflowers that bloom in early springtime: Phlox subulata, known as "moss pink," according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
According to NASA, stargazers should also keep an eye on the sky in mid-April for a grouping of Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the moon in beautiful, bright alignment. This won't happen again for a couple of years.
