The session of the Senate is to be held today at the Parliament House to discuss the acute shortage of wheat and flour in the country.
The Senate session will be held at 3pm while the session will be headed by the Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.
According to details, the 8-point agenda of the meeting has been released, at the behest of the Chairman Senate, the debate on on-going wheat and flour crisis will continue in the Senate today.
The Chairman Senate, yesterday, summoned the concerned Minister in the House. The Senate also sought a report on the crisis from the Food Security Committee while the upper house has also sought reports from the four provincial chief secretaries.
During the session, Senator Rehman Malik to introduce a motion for Pakistan Penal Code Amendment Bill 2019.
Farooq H. Naik will submit reports of the standing committees regarding Anti Money Laundering Bill 2019 and Foreign Exchange Regulation Amendment Bill 2019 while
In addition, Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari will discuss the National Commission on the Status of Women's movement.
The Senate will further discuss the President's address at the joint session of the Parliament.
