ISLAMABAD, :Pakistan Meteorological Department has advised the residents of central and south Punjab to take precautionary measures
in order to keep themselves safe from the adverse effects of smog.
An official of PMD Lahore said that smog with variable intensity is likely to prevail in Punjab next week, Radio Pakistan
reported.
He said dense smog is likely over plains of Punjab during next twelve hours and there will be moderate to dense smog on Motorway from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian and Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad Sunday morning.
Meanwhile Motorway, M-2 from Lahore to Kot Momin and M-3 from Faisalabad to Pindi Bhattian are closed for
heavy traffic due to dense smog.
According to Motorway Police control room, there is zero visibility on these sections of Motorway.-AFP
