Islamabad High Court on Wednesday admitted the petition filed by Zakarya Ahmad Abd Alftah, brother of Osma’s Yemni widow for hearing it today.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Justice Iqbal Hameed ur Rehman heard the case in brief and observed that the court would take up the case on Thursday to examine the maintainability of the petition.
Muhammad Aamir Khalil, counsel for the petitioner argued the case and submitted two references of judgements such as; 2000 YLR 2724 and PLD 1970 SC 399, in support of the petition.
The petitioner Zakarya Ahmad Abd Alftah has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court for the quashment of cases registered against Mrs. Amal Ahmad Abdul Fattah his bona fide sister Amal Ahmad Abdul Fattah, Osma’s Yemni widow by the Federal Investigation Agency’s Special Investigation Unit Islamabad under section 14 and 13 Foreigner Act, 1946 and under section 212, 419 and 109 PPC.
In his petition, the petitioner prayed that the court may graciously come to the aid of the accused (Widow) of late Osama Bin Ladin and her little children besides quashment of cases registered by the FIA’s Special Investigation Unit, Islamabad.
