The chief justice ordered the court office to fix the matter before a three-judge bench comprising Justice Jillani, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Mian Saqib Nisar.

During the proceedings today, Deputy secretary health informed the court that 890 people were effected from the drugs, 315 are serious and 360 people were sent to homes after treatment.

Secretary Health also said that, spurious ingredient in the drug was identified and the responsible people are listed in the ECL.

Justice Tassaduq Jilani replied that “The issue is indeed grave and has rightly raised public anger and a demand for action,”.

Adding that, drugs investigation cell should formed to investigate these type of cases.

The cout adjourned the hearing till Feb 17.

Earlier, The Supreme Court took suo motu notice on Monday of deaths in Lahore of over 138 heart patients because of the reaction to suspected drugs.
