Fraud case: SC orders to detain PM’s ex-media coordinator

A four-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC) headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of Khurram Rasool fraud case today, who is an accused of Rs630 million fraud case.

During today’s proceedings, the CJ remarked that if the allegations were proved right, then it would be the biggest crisis of the country as the prime minister and his secretaries were named in the case.

earlier, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry said that DG FIA was explicitly violating the court’s orders. He ordered to record the statements of the petitioner and Secretary Cabinet Division Nargis Sethi today by 1 pm.
