Rawalpindi: Runaway students record statement in court

According to the students, they ran away from the school due to over- burden of their studies.

The students of a private school in Rawalpindi who went missing on Thursday were recovered from a hotel in Peshawar on Monday night, police said.

City Police Officer Rawalpindi Azhar Hameed Khokhar said: “All the missing students have been recovered by the police and they are on way to Rawalpindi from Peshawar.”

The students disappeared after going to their private school in Wilayat Colony in Chaklala.

They were identified as Abu Bakr, 18, (10th class); Waleed Akram, 15, (9th class); his sister Areeba Akram, 16, (class 10th); Wajeha Asghar, 17, (10th class); Iqra, 16, (9th class), and Hamza Ali, 16, of 9th class.
