Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has tied the knot for a second time, over a year after reports claimed he had separated from his first wife Sania Mirza.

Actress Sana Javed is Malik’s new wife.

The cricketer broke the news to his fans on his Instagram and X accounts on Saturday morning.

He shared two photographs showing Malik and Sana Javed in a half-embrace with a broad coyish smile on the bride’s face.

Malik thanked God by saying “Alhamdulillah” and added a verse from the Holy Quran with its English translation “And We created you in pairs”.

Soon after the announcement, Sana Javed changed her Instagram bio to “Sana Shoaib Malik”.

Shoaib and Sana married a few days ago in Karachi and their photos were leaked to social media, reports said.

Since Sana Javed and Shoaib Malik had worked together in the past when the cricketer acted as a model and walked on the ramps, fans believed the earlier images were from one of those photoshoots.

But family sources and most importantly Malik’s social media post confirmed the marriage.

Shoaib, Sania divorce rumours

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza have not announced their divorce and they were seen together at the end of October when they celebrated their only child’s birthday.

The rumours about the divorce first began circulating in November 2022 but Malik tried to dispel them by publically sending a special message to Sania back then.

It all restarted when Sana Mirza fired an emotional Instagram post saying both marriage and divorce were hard options but one had to choose their hard.

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza tied the knot 13 years ago in April 2010. After 8 years of marriage, they welcomed their first son on 30 October 2018.

Despite months of speculation about their divorce, neither has officially confirmed or denied the matter. During this period, Shoaib Malik has publicly praised Sania Mirza multiple times, mentioning her name.

In an interview, he emphasised that he and Sania Mirza and couples worldwide experience ups and downs in their relationships. He highlighted that hardly any married couple escapes having differences.

Sana Javed divorce with Umair Jashwal

On the other hand, rumours of Sana Javed’s divorce from singer Umair Jaiswal emerged in December 2022. Showbiz websites speculated about their falling out, but no authentic sources were cited.

Sana Javed and Umair Jaiswal got married in October 2020, and after the wedding, both shared stories on Instagram, tagging each other.

Speculations about their divorce arose when Umair Jaiswal went to Makkah to perform Umrah without Sana Javed. Additionally, both artists deleted their wedding pictures from their respective Instagram profiles.

While social media users and showbiz websites claimed that Sana Javed and Umair Jaiswal had split, neither of them confirmed the separation.
