Australian high commissioner gets a taste of Charsi Tikka
No one can stay safe from the taste of Charsi Tikka for long.
The iconic Peshawar food place has been celebrated widely for years, and its latest fan is Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins.
“I just had the most amazing Charsi Tikka in Peshawar and wow, I’m hooked,” he posted on Twitter along with a photo of himself gazing in fascination at the tikka’s being cooked.
Hawkins did not make the remark about being ‘hooked’ as a random remark. He seems to be aware about where the name comes from.
“The taste is addictive! I can see why they call it charsi,” he wrote.
