The already imposed restricted were going to end on April 7 (Tuesday) but not these have been prolonged for further seven days.
As per the notification, shops related to food items will remain open from 9am to 5pm while dairy shops are allowed to work till 8pm.
The decision to extend lockdown has been taken keeping in view the sharply increasing number of coronavirus cases in the province. All measures being taken to curb the coronavirus will be implemented immediately, said the notification.

The number of coronavirus cases surged 3,277 in Pakistan while the pandemic has claimed 50 lives till Sunday night.
