Pakistan to witness fresh spell of rain from tomorrow
Fresh spell of rain is likely to hit Upper and Central parts of the country from Wednesday to Friday.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly weather system, which is likely to enter the country today evening, will produce more rains from Wednesday to Friday.
Widespread rain with thunderstorm and snowfall over the hills is expected in all districts of Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Punjab, under the influence of this new weather system.
There is also a possibility of a hail storm at few places during the wet spell.
Rain and wind-thunderstorm are also expected in Quetta, Zhob, Pishin, Harnai, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Panjgur, Ziarat, Kalat, Mastung from Tuesday evening to Thursday, while in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur and Shaheed Benazirabad on Tuesday evening and Wednesday, according to the weather department.
During this period, the dust storm is also expected in lower Sindh including Sindh’s capital Karachi.
Met Office has also warned that heavy rainfall can generate landslides and flash flooding in vulnerable areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from Wednesday night to Friday.
