Shahid Kapoor got injured on set while filming for his upcoming movie "Jersey",  he has suffered an injury on the lower lip.

Shahid was playing cricket while shooting a sequence for his upcoming film when he got hurt real bad. He says the film has taken ‘a little bit of my blood' but he is recovering fast.

Shahid has been shooting for the cricket movie,‘Jersey' in Chandigarh, when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lip and cut open a wide gash where blood started gushing out. He was immediately taken for treatment.

Jersey is a Hindi remake of Telugu film of the same name, which released last year. Gowtham Tinnanuri, who directed the original movie, is helming the Hindi version as well, Shahid plays the role of a former cricketer.
