Pakistan to witness first lunar eclipse of 2020 tonight

The first lunar eclipse of 2020 will be a witness in Pakistan on the night between Friday ( January 10) and Saturday (January 12).

According to the sources, it will be penumbral lunar eclipse which will be visible in Pakistan as well as in different cities of Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa. It will not be visible in the United States, central Canada and a majority of South America.

The eclipses will start at 10:07 pm and will become a full eclipse at 12:07 am. The eclipse will come to an end at 2:12 am and the moon will emerge from the shadow of the earth.

Lunar eclipse, also known as the Wolf moon eclipse, is a celestial event that occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, which results in obstructing some or all of the Sun’s light from reaching the Moon.
