Judicial remand of Shahid Khaqan extended till January 21
The accountability court has extended the judicial remand of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi till January 21 in an ongoing probe pertaining to the liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract case.
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was produced before an accountability court in LNG case hearing. The case was heard by judge Muhammad Bashir.
Accused including Miftah Ismail have file exemption pleas in the court, However, the court has issued notices to NAB in this regard. The Court also directed the NAB to submit arguments over exemption pleas on January 13.
On December 12, NAB Rawalpindi again filed a reference in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) case against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former finance minister Miftah Ismail. The reference was filed on December 3, however, the accountability court has returned the reference after raising some objections.
