Pakistani Model, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz Award recipient Mehwish Hayat has raised her voice in defense of former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf after the video of Ailing Musharraf’s recorded statement.

Hayat took to social networking platform Twitter she wrote that “let’s put politics aside for one moment. This man was our President & guided us through some very difficult times. Like him or loathe him, he deserves the opportunity to be heard.”

"At least we can grant him that dignity. After all, does the law not say innocent till proven guilty?" she added

Yesterday Pakistan’s former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf delivers his latest video message from American Hospital Dubai. In the video message he stated that he is being victimized in the treason case and has also invited the commission to visit him to record his testimony.

It is noteworthy that the high treason case against former President Pervez Musharraf was started in the tenure of PML-N government in November 2013.
