Mahira Khan selected as UNHCR Goodwill ambassador
United Nations’ refugee agency, United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has appointed noted Pakistani actress Mahira Khan as UNHCR’s National Goodwill Ambassador.
The UNHCR made the announcement through a video on Twitter.

The 'Superstar' actress said she felt privileged to have been chosen to serve for the noble cause.

She also said: Pakistan has set an example for the world where a country has hosted refugees for the last 40 years. This is one cause because I feel so strongly about it, especially as Pakistan's UNHCR National Goodwill Ambassador.
The UNHCR is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees.
