Kashmir Solidarity Hour observed


Kashmir Solidarity Hour was observed from 12:00 to 12:30 hours, today during which sirens were sounded all across the country and national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were played.

Special ceremonies were held at President House and Prime Minister’s Secretariat to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Ministers, MNAs, officials, public servants, students of schools, colleges and universities and people from various walks of life gathered outside the two executive offices, waving both Pakistani and Kashmiri flags.

During national anthems, all the people and vehicles came to a standstill.

The Prime Minister and Chief Ministers along with all the parliamentarians led the nation by coming in front of their respective Secretariats and office buildings whereas the people remained out of their offices, houses, markets and malls, and gathered in the nearby streets all over the country.

After Juma prayers, special prayers for the people of Kashmir would be offered.

Special ceremony held at the parliament house

In connection with Kashmir hour, a special ceremony was also held at the parliament house.

It was attended by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and other elected representatives as well as the school students.

Full throated slogans were raised on the occasion in support of Pakistan and Kashmiri people. The people were also carrying flags of Pakistan and that of Azad Kashmir.

In his remarks, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri urged the international community to come out in support of oppressed Kashmiri people against the fascist and racist policies of Modi.

Qasim Khan Suri said the entire world is witnessing today that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri people. He said Pakistan is a peace loving country and wants resolution of festering Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council’s resolutions.

Chairman of the Special Committee on Kashmir Syed Fakhar Imam said the UN Security Council’s meeting is a clear proof that Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed.

Rally to express solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris held in Rawalpindi

A rally to express solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris was held at Murree Road in Rawalpindi on Friday.

It was led by Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad.

The participants were carrying flags of both Pakistan and Azad Kashmir and chanting slogans for freedom of Kashmir.

Addressing the rally, the Railways Minister said India has committed a blunder by changing the status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the wave of barbarism unleashed by Indian security forces in the Occupied Valley clearly shows that India is trying to impose its rule by the use of brute force.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said India will be disintegrated into many pieces and each piece will become another Pakistan.

He said the day is not far when Kashmir will be liberated from Indian oppressive rule.
