CHITRAL: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan Wednesday asserted that if his party was voted to power in next general election, it would give top priority to education, health, environment and exploitation of indigenous resources.

Addressing a public gathering here, he said the party would bring reforms in administrative sector besides taking pragmatic anti-corruption measures, adding that it would not give development funds to members of National and Provincial Assemblies.

He said it is a common parliamentary practice across the world that MNAs and MPAs make legislation and they have nothing to do with the development funds.

Imran Khan pointed out that due to wrong policies of previous successive regimes, today every child of the country is indebted with huge debt. He said that PTI would recover taxes from the upper-class of the society and would spent it on the poor to improve their lot, adding the his party would reduce unnecessary expenditure and would ease the life common man.

On the occasion, he expressed gratitude to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak for making several districts in the province.  Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and local party leadership were also present on the occasion. —APP
