Recipe of the day: Chicken Wrap
For marination
Ingredients
- Chicken breast – 2 (cut it to strips)
- Red chili powder – 2 tsp
- Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Corn flour – 1 tbsp
- Oil – for deep frying
Method
- Marinate the chicken strips with red chili powder, black pepper powder, garlic paste lemon juice and salt for about an hour in the refrigerator.
- Add the corn flour to the marinated chicken and combine well.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken strips till done. Keep it aside.
 For filling
Ingredients
- Cabbage (thinly sliced) – 1 ½ cup
- Carrot – 1 (thinly sliced)
- Capsicum – ½ cup
- Pepper powder – 1 tsp (add more if you want it more spicy)
- Tomato – 1 (thinly sliced)
- Lettuce – ½ cup, chopped
- Mayonnaise – ¼ cup
- Red chili sauce – 2 – 3 tsp
- Chapathi/ naan / tortillas – 4 – 5
- Salt – to taste
Method
- Heat a pan and add sliced cabbage, carrot, capsicum, pepper powder and fried chicken and saute for a minute or two. Remove it from flame and add sliced tomato and lettuce. Add little salt to it and combine well.
- In another bowl combine together mayonnaise and red chili sauce.
- Take one chapathi/ tortilla and spread the mayonnaise – sauce on one side. Add little filling and wrap it tightly. Serve immediately
Note : makes about 4 – 5 chicken wraps.
