KARACHI: Five people belonging to the same family were killed and six others injured when a dumper rammed into a car and motorcycle in Karachi on Wednesday.

According to a private news channel, driver of the dumper, Tausif, fled the scene, an FIR has been lodged against him at Docks police station, police said.

According to police, conductor of the dumper, Abdul Khaliq is under custody. The accident took place at ICI bridge. The deceased belong to Gujranwala.

IG Sindh A.D. Khwaja took notice of the incident.  He also sought a report of the incident from IG South and DIG Traffic. Further investigation is underway.
