Panama Papers case: JI expects Supreme Court verdict to be in favour of masses
Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq expressed his hope that the Supreme Court's decision on Panama Leaks issue would be in favour of the people of Pakistan.
Addressing a public rally in the Rest House ground, he claimed that after the decision a number of people will be behind bars, adding that in case if the decision is not as per the expectation of people, then consequently fate of the country will be decided by people on the streets.
The JI chief alleged that Malakand Division and other tribal areas are being deprived of revenues and opportunities in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor plan. "Malakand Division should be taken as an alternative route for the CPEC," he said.
"The people of Malakand need factories and businesses, children here want education - government should fulfill their legitimate demands."
Sirajul Haq stated that in view of broad alliance of religious parties, he has visited Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
"We will soon go for a massive sit-in against interest- based system in Islamabad," Siraj warned. -NNI
