Terror bid foiled at Lahore airport, seized weapon cache
LAHORE: AÂ suspected terror bid was foiled at the at the Allama Iqbal International Airport here by Airport Security Force (ASF) on Wednesday confiscated a cache of weapons and ammunition, Aaj News reported.Â
According to the reports, a vehicle was stopped and searched by the ASF personnel at the airport check post on Wednesday morning. A weapon and a large cache of ammunition was found in the vehicle during a routine inspection, the ASF officials said.
223 bore rifle, seven magazines, and dozens of bullets from the vehicle recovered by ASF.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as a resident of Lahore and was handed over to the police, along with the car.
