JPMC: Nurses, paramedics protest over jobs confirmation
Nurses and paramedical staff of Jinnah hospital protest outside press club and demanded the government to ensure their employment confirmation.
According to our reporter Saad Bukhari, The nurses and paramedics marched towards the governor house but police used water canon and tear gas to dispersed them.
Police also arrested many protesters while traffic jam was also observed at Karachi press club.
Provincial Nurses Association of Sindh has announced a strike and a boycott of their duties at government-run hospitals in Karachi and across Sindh.
Earlier, the nurses had stopped working in OPDs and have now boycotted work in accident and emergency (A&E) and intensive care unit (ICU).
