Situation normalizes in Karachi after a mourning day
After a mourning day in the city of Lights, the situation came to normalcy as schools, offices and markets reopened here on Wednesday.
Regular vehicular movement was seen on the roads, petrol pumps and CNG stations also opened giving a major relief to motorists.
The situation arises On Tuesday when Armed men barged into the house of MQM sector Incharge Mansoor Mukhtar, shooting him, his brother Masood and sister-in-law Uzma early morning in PIB Colony.
After the killings the transport were disappeared from the roads. Nine other men were shot dead and up to two dozen injured by gunfire while several vehicles were set ablaze. Around 46 vehicles were set alight in different areas including Malir Halt, Central Jail, Teen Hatti, Kala Board, Abul Hassan Isphani Road and Shah Faisal Colony. .
Then, MQM announced a day of mourning and the funerals got under way.
Onthe other hand, An inquiry team was formed to look into the PIB Colony murders and rioting. District East DIG Tahir Naveed will lead it.
