All arrange for PTI gathering in Mianwali
Pakistan Tahreek e insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will hold a public gathering in his native place, Mianwali at Mela stadium on Saturday.
The PTI stalwart said Imran Khan wanted to reach out to the people of southern Punjab with his message of change and justice - especially for the youth and the oppressed people of the area.
"Imran will raise his voice against the Tumandari system and the Thana culture that was rampant in the region.
These gatherings would be followed by Jalsas in Sialkot, Mianwali and then Abbotabad before another tsunami wave hits southern Punjab again - this time in areas like DG Khan and Rajanpur.
All these waves will then culminate in the big Jalsa in Quetta so far scheduled for April 20".
She also said that a meeting of the central executive committee of the party would be held on March 25, after which a nation-wide membership drive would begin.
In response to questions, she clarified that given the highly democratic nature of the party, there was debate and dissension within the party meetings through which a consensus evolved.
But she made it clear that all the new people who had joined had accepted the PTI's ideology.
She emphasised that PTI respected all its members equally and no one was vilified or insulted.
PTI had a strong democratic tradition and the chairman respected it and abided by it unlike the dictatorial leaders of other main parties.
About impending party elections, she said that all office bearers would be elected by the ordinary members.
