Special NA session summons today
A special session of National assembly likely to pass a resolution of confidence on Prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and assured parliamentary supremacy here on Friday.
The coalition, according to the sources, is likely to move a resolution in the house on Friday, when it meets at 10.30am, to reaffirm supremacy of parliament over all other state institutions as a response to perceived challenges from the outside.
However, the sources said the resolution, which was yet to be drafted, was not expected to target any institution but would emphasise the constitutional position about parliament`s sovereignty in a trichotomy of power with the executive and judiciary in a parliamentary system of government.
On the other side, the opposition parties has planned to task for alleged violation of an earlier court ruling related to the National Reconciliation Ordinance verdict of Supreme court.
While PML-N also implied for a no confidence motion against Prime Minister.
