Salman is back with Barjatya
Salman Khan is set to find love again, at least on screen, in a Rajshree Production film. An insider tells that Khan and Rajshree's Sooraj Barjatya inked a film deal last week.
Khan and Barjatya have earlier worked together in Maine Pyaar Kiya, Salman's debut film and Hum Aapke Hain Koun, one of Bollywood's biggest all time hits.
"Salman wanted Sooraj to make a love story since that was his forte. Also, Salman told him that he has been doing too many action films of late, including the ones he is still shooting for, and now wants a break. Sooraj agreed to make a simple sweet romantic film with Salman," says source.
A signature of Rajshree boy meets girl family drama featuring uncomplicated romance and conflicts that are resolved through the goodness of the heart, not by beating the crap out of someone, the film will resurrect Salman's lover boy avatar, Prem.
"Sooraj agreed to make a simple sweet romantic film with Salman," says the source.
The female lead is yet to be finalized, but Salman will have a say in her selection, says the source. And true to the pattern, Salman will also give inputs to Barjatya on the story line.
Production is expected to start in June 2012.
Reports that Khan and Barjatya plan to work together on a project again first surfaced when Salman agreed to a short cameo in Isi Life Mein directed by Barjatya's niece Vidhi Kasliwal.
