Hoti announces Rs300m uplift package for Bunner
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has renewed the pledged that the government is ready to negotiate with those who were lay down arms and shun path of violence, saying that the Pakhtuns paid a huge price in decades long so-called Afghan war.
He said that the government had taken initiatives for employment generation, poverty alleviation and improvement of literacy rate in the province, which was never taken successive governments in the past.
Addressing at a public gathering here at district Bunner on Saturday, he said that ANP government had fulfilled its commitments by following manifesto, adding that the steps taken under political manifesto will be benefited to people the entire province.
He said that the people have maximum right on avail benefit from indigenous resources. Hoti said that the so-called war had imposed on name of Jihad by the Russian and US in this part of the region, saying the ANP forefathers declared war as fierce not Jihad, because of blame them traitors. He added that Pakhtuns paid huge price in this war.
On the occasion, ANP provincial president Afrasiab Khan Khattak, Senior Minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour, Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Minister for Education, Sardar Hussain Babak, MPA from the areas, ANP activists, workers, were also present.
He said the ANP leaders, activists and workers had rendered sacrifices in the so-called war, even doesn’t care about the women respect while attacked and targeted houses. He said the ANP had rendered enormous sacrifices for the people of the province.
The government, he said, still ready to negotiate with those who shun violence and give guarantee to live peaceful life, respect writ of the government and constitution of the country.
He maintained that the government would move beyond with make agreement with them. He said that the passage of 18th constitutional amendments, resolution of long standing issue of NFC award, Net Hydel profit and especially naming the province are the biggest achievements of the present government.
He added that the ADP had first time swell to 80 percent in the province, saying that government has initiated different pro-poor initiatives like Bacha Khan Akpal Rozgar Scheme, Hunarmand Scheme, and other welfare programme, in which 30 percent quota has been allocated for women.
Through the scheme, he said that loans were available for both people, especially women to start their business at micro level. On the occasion, the Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti announced Rs 300 million development package for the District Bunner.
